Изкуството на служба на техни величества

Аз съм художник, фотограф и изкуствовед. Завършила съм " Живопис и смесени медии" във Висшето училище по изобразителни изкуства Саар в г. Саарбрюкен, Германия. През 2017 г. защитих дисертация на тема "Нови художествени практики във Варна от 1980-те и 1990-те години" в Института за изследване на изкуствата към БАН, а в 2018 г. излезе монографията ми по същата тема. Живея във Варна. Irena Dimitrova was born in Varna. She graduated from the Saar College of Fine Arts in Saarbrücken, Germany (2008). In 2017 she defended a PhD thesis on "New Art Practices in Varna from the 1980-s and 1990-s" at the Institute of Art Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In 2019 her monography "New Art Practices in Varna from the End of the 20-th Century" was published by "Artgraf" - Sofia. Besides the field of art studies, I. Dimitrova appears in the sphere of painting, photography and drawing. More important exhibitions in which she took part are: “ArtIgrad” - Architect's House-Varna (2018), National Exhibition "Super/m/art/ket" – Graffiti Gallery, Varna (2015), "City Stories" (Art Office Foundation) - Bulart Gallery (2015), "Contempo" - Contemporary Art Festival, City Art Gallery, Varna (2014), "VideoHolica 2011" - Gallery 8, Varna, “Aquaтуш“ - Gallery 8, Varna (2010).
